Multimedia is a program at Lancaster High School ideally suited for the college-bound student. It is a two year program for juniors and seniors that will fit into most schedules due to only being two periods in the morning each year. Students learn about technology, software, and design that is used in today’s world. Multimedia students use the skills they have learned in class and apply them to real-life activities. This is a great program for students to advance their creativity, design skills, collaborative skills, and technology skills. Multimedia uses the most up-to-date equipment and software to create a wide variety of products, such as logos, T-shirts, websites, promotions, videos, posters, and many others on a regular basis. Another major part of the program deals with photography, which includes learning the science of photography, taking digital photographs in a variety of settings on field trips, and editing the photographs to add a professional look to them.
